AKVA Icelandic Spring Water Problem: An Icelandic company tried to enter the turbulent, natural spring water category. Their lack of knowledge of the US consumer/marketplace needed assistance and packaging redesign was part of the solution. Solution: A brand name - AKVA - was created, including a new logo design with a decidedly Nordic flare. Bold, splashy graphics of water and use of a grid system for sophisticated copy placement, achieved the desired presence. The choice of an aseptic box - compact, unbreakable, easily chilled and fitting purse or gym bag, along with photography for striking shelf presence made for another success story. 1st Place Mobius Award: Best US Package Design - Beverages
